Recap: Hästens Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Hästens celebrated the grand opening of its flagship in Downtown Bellevue with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The event was attended by Christine Liu of The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Petra Hilleberg, Honorary Consul of Sweden to Washington and Oregon, Bellevue City Council Member Claire Sumadiwirya, and other VIP guests from the community. Representatives from Visit Bellevue also attended the ceremony to welcome Hästens to the neighborhood and toast to the region's business development.

Rooted in craftsmanship and on a mission to change the way people think about sleep, the new 2,200-square-foot Hästens flagship expands the brand's presence in the Pacific Northwest, continuing its tradition of bridging restorative sleep with modern luxury. 

Hästens' presence in the Pacific Northwest was brought to life by The Lyx Group, a partnership consisting of three long-time friends: Mark Potvin, Marcus Avenstam, and Greg Laverseyn, who connected through a shared appreciation for Mid-century Modern architecture, classic cars, and thoughtful, high-quality design.

Their decision to bring Hästens to the Pacific Northwest was born out of a deep alignment with the brand’s core values - timeless design, natural materials, and hand-crafted quality. Inspired by Hästens’ heritage and their deep understanding of sleep, they saw an opportunity to not only launch a showroom but to help people experience an unparalleled level of rest and wellness.
