Bellevue Fashion Week 2022 Recap

In a city not normally known for its fashion, Seattleites certainly put their best foot forward over the weekend at Bellevue Fashion Week helping to raise $94,000 for local non-profits. The 17th annual event featured two days of festivities including the Posh Party Trend Show on Friday and the Collective Runway Show on Saturday. This is the first time since 2019 that both shows have been back up to full capacity and needless to say, it was a packed house that was dressed to impress for a very worthy cause. To date, The Kemper Freeman family and The Bellevue Collection have donated more than $1.5 million to local charities through its fashion week events. This year’s beneficiaries included Treehouse and Dress for Success Seattle.

“We’re so grateful to have the opportunity to showcase fall fashion and raise funds for these amazing local nonprofits, “said VP of Marketing for The Bellevue Collection, Jennifer Leavitt. “While Fashion Week is a great way to bring people together for fashion and fun, the real passion for Kemper Development Company and The Bellevue Collection comes from the support we are able to provide to our local and regional community.”

Friday night’s Posh Party Trend Event hosted by Tyrah Majors of KOMO 4 featured a runway show, beauty demos, photo booth opportunities, signature drinks and decadent desserts. The evening raised $35,500 for Treehouse.

Saturday’s Collective Runway Show featured the season’s top trends along with a special showcase highlighting three Pacific Northwest designers including Sskein, The Cura Co., and Sarah Donofrio. The evening helped raise $58,500 for Dress for Success Seattle. The set was designed as a prelude to Thursday’s What She Said ‘Women in Fashion’ event at W Bellevue, which is the final event in the fashion week series.

The year’s Bellevue Fashion Week events were a true highlight for fashion fans and philanthropists alike. Bringing the community together to celebrate the local style scene and raise money for a worthy cause truly shines a light on the best of the Pacific Northwest.

The final fashion event of the Bellevue Fashion Week series will take place this Thursday, October 13th at W Bellevue. Learn more about the highly-anticipated What She Said event hosted by Sydney Mintle of Gossip & Glamour here.
