Hey Bagel Heads to BagelFest West

Seattle’s Hey Bagel has been invited to compete in BagelFest West! The inaugural bagel event is designed to celebrate the best bagels on the West Coast and bring together top makers, industry leaders, and thousands of fans to taste, learn, and crown the best bagel makers in the west. This year, the event will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 12, 2026, and feature industry experiences, culinary panels, tastings, LIVE demos, and more. Winners are selected by a panel of expert judges alongside attendee votes.

“We’ve been invited to New York for BagelFest in the past, but we’ve simply been too busy to participate. This year, when we got an invite from event organizers announcing the inaugural BagelFest West, we jumped on it!” said Andrew Rubinstein, founder of Hey Bagel. “We’re honored to represent Washington state at BagelFest West. Most of the exhibitors and contestants are from California, with one candidate coming in from Colorado. Hey Bagel is traveling the furthest by far to compete, and we’re eager to bring our best bagel standards and some fun surprises, too!”
