Media Alert: Wine Women & Shoes returns to the runway November 10th

Fans of fashion and supporters of Olive Crest will gather at the Fairmont Olympic on Friday, November 10, 2017 for Wine Women & Shoes. The annual fundraiser helps raise critical funding for Olive Crest’s programs including foster care and adoption placement, family counseling services, mental health care, and more. Proceeds from the event directly support children in the Greater Seattle area and help them find their “forever families”.

The annual fundraiser welcomes over 350 well-heeled guests and includes a shop-for-a-cause marketplace, wine tasting experiences from local wineries, lite bites from award-winning chefs and restaurants, opportunities to bid on fashion-focused silent auction items, an interactive LIVE auction, and the chance to win the most coveted prize of the night, a “Key to the Closet” that unlocks a prize package valued at over $10,000. This year Amity Addrisi of King 5 will serve as the official event emcee.

Six local wineries will participate in the on-site wine tasting experience including JM Cellars, O Wines, Coral Wines, Swiftwater Cellars, Cadence Winery, and Mood Swing Wines. Guests will also enjoy sparkling wine from Chateau Ste. Michelle and have the opportunity to pay $25 for the chance to pull a cork from the “Wall of Wines” and take home a bottle from featured vendors.

The evening will also highlight volunteer “Shoe Guys” who will support the evening by tray passing champagne to guests, serving as dedicated table hosts, and showcasing merchandise from marketplace vendors on silver platters. “Shoe Guys” sign on to support Wine Women & Shoes in the spring and fundraise in the community leading up to the event. The “Shoe Guy” who raises the most money for Olive Crest will be crowned the “King of Sole” on-stage at the event.

The evening concludes with a high-energy fashion show produced by Styled Seattle that will feature fashion from local boutiques and national retailers including The Finerie, Moorea Seal, Sway & Cake, SILVAE, Barneys New York, Canopy Blue, Macy's and more. In lieu of traditional models, pairs of community influencers will walk the runway including Carla Marie and Kat Fisher from Power 93.3, Amy Nelson and Kim Peltola of The Riveter, Alysse Bryson of King 5, Rose Dennis, Michelle Rutherford, Lauren Vogt, Sarah Jio, Jennifer Jedda of JJ Caprices, Katherine Boury of Seattle Goodwill, Angie Mentik of ROOT Sports, plus style bloggers Ambra & Natalie of Tallz and Smallz, Ribicca Mamuye, Doug Ta'a, and more. Hair and make-up for the event will be provided by Gene Juarez.

2017 Wine Women & Shoe sponsors include Citrone Partners, Blue Nile, Gene Juarez Salon & Spas, Pacific Place, Partington Plastic Surgery, The Spa at PRO Sports Club, and Berntson Porter & Company.

Our fundraising goal this year is $275,000 and we can't do it without your help. Get your tickets now!
