World-renowned Swedish bedmaker Hästens has opened its first flagship showroom in the Pacific Northwest, reflecting its latest retail concept. The highly-anticpated storefront, located in the heart of Downtown Bellevue, showcases a full range of models from the brand and marks a new chapter in the region’s relationship with wellness, craftsmanship, and modern living.
For over 173 years, Hästens has led the world in the pursuit of extraordinary sleep. Handcrafted in Köping, Sweden, each bed is made from the finest natural materials, including sustainably sourced horsehair, organic cotton, wool, and slow-grown Swedish pine, all designed to deliver generations of comfort. As a Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden and a name synonymous with legacy and excellence, Hästens continues to redefine rest across more than 45 countries.
Hästens presence in the Pacific Northwest was brought to life by The Lyx Group, a partnership that consists of three long-time friends: Mark Potvin, Marcus Avenstam, and Greg Laverseyn who connected through a shared appreciation of Mid-century Modern architecture, classic cars and thoughtful, quality design.
Their decision to bring Hästens to the Pacific Northwest was born out of a deep alignment with the brand’s core values - timeless design, natural materials and hand-crafted quality. Inspired by Hästens’ heritage and their deep understanding of sleep, they saw an opportunity to not only launch a showroom, but to help people experience an unparalleled level of rest and wellness.
The trio brings a wealth of experience and market insight to this new endeavor with roots in luxury real estate, international business, retail, and logistics. Together, they’ve created a space that mirrors their personal values: rooted in friendship, built with intention, and committed to serving a community that deeply values excellence, sustainability, and design. The Lyx Group looks forward to opening additional Hästens showrooms throughout the Pacific Northwest in the future including locations in Oregon and Idaho.
Guests of the Hästens Bellevue showroom will have the opportunity to book a private Sleep Spa experience to test and identify the perfect bed based on their specific needs. The showroom also stocks a variety of Hästens linens, pajamas, robes, comforters, pillows, and sleep accessories.
