Equinox Announces Flagship Fitness Club in Downtown Seattle

Equinox, the authority in high-performance luxury lifestyle, has announced the official opening of its first location in Seattle. The 35,000-square-foot club is slated to open next month at Rainier Square, the iconic 58-story mixed-use office, residential, and retail tower located in the center of downtown Seattle at 401 Union Street.

Over the past several years, Equinox has seen substantial growth in their club portfolio and membership base on the West Coast. With the opening of Rainier Square, the total number of clubs will reach 111, with Equinox continuing to grow its member community worldwide.

“After years of carefully considering properties across the city, we are thrilled to open our first-ever Seattle club at a distinguished location,” says Jeff Weinhaus, President and Chief Development Officer at Equinox. “The inspired design, breathtaking views of the Puget Sound, and unparalleled amenities will meet the rising demand for luxury lifestyle experiences at Equinox Rainier Square.”

“Equinox will no doubt become synonymous with Rainier Square and add to our continued efforts to comprehensively activate the block on behalf of our tenants, residents, patrons and visitors,” said Walt Ingram, Chairman & CEO, Wright Runstad & Company. “We’re delighted that Rainier Square will become Equinox’s first, flagship location in the Pacific Northwest and even more excited to join in making this commitment to high-performance fitness and programs.”

Equinox Rainier Square will feature renowned state-of-the-art facilities, including a performance-driven strength and cardio floor, a fully equipped heated barre and yoga studio, a full-use spa with innovative treatments, and a retail shop, offering activewear essentials and exclusive collaborations.

In addition to Equinox’s unlimited signature group fitness classes, all club members are offered access to personalized, one-on-one training programs backed by Equinox’s Health Advisory Board and the EQX OS, a proprietary operating system built to advance full-health optimization. As part of the Equinox Rainier Square membership, members will also have access to a two-court indoor pickleball facility, which is also scheduled to open in 2025.

The grand opening of Equinox Rainier Square is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
