Gossip & Glamour Mentorship Program - Fall 2019

Gossip & Glamour, Seattle’s leading fashion PR firm, is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2019 mentorship program. We deeply believe in supporting the next generation of fashion industry professionals. Our mentorship program is the perfect blend of hands-on learning and real-time feedback that will help students develop the critical skills necessary for success in a competitive market.

About Gossip & Glamour

Founded in 2010, Gossip & Glamour is a marketing, PR and project management firm that specializes in work with fashion industry clients in Seattle and around the globe.

Program Description

This position requires an extremely well organized individual that wants to get real industry experience in fashion marketing, event planning and public relations. Our fast- paced environment needs a motivated self-starter with multi-task abilities who is extremely detail- oriented, social media savvy and eager to learn. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are must.

The mentorship program is designed to give students and new graduates a hands-on experience in fashion PR. Here’s an overview of how mentees will spend their time during the program:

  • Drafting and distributing press releases

  • Curating media lists

  • Working with bloggers and influencers on campaigns

  • Brainstorming and implementing social media campaigns

  • Sitting in on client meetings and brainstorm sessions

  • Working to help secure community partnerships and strategic collaborations on behalf of clients

  • Putting together media kits for editors

  • Helping to organize trunk shows and events

  • Writing fashion stories and blog posts

  • Hosting blogger events and meet-ups

  • Helping to plan the 2020 Gossip & Glamour Style Summit


 Applicants must be working toward a degree in Fashion

Applicants must have an basic understanding of the fashion industry

Must be able to communicate effectively with others (clients, staff, vendors, etc.)

Applicant must be able to work on-site or remotely approximately 10-15 hours per week

Applicant must possess a true passion for working in the fashion industry

Applicant must be willing to work hard and be professional at all times

Applicant must have at least 1 fashion industry professional that can provide a reference and vouch for work-ethic and reliability
